Designing Quality Into Your Supply Chain
Presented by:
Troy West, TransSystems Corporation
Could now be a good time to evaluate your supply chain and logistics operations? Influencing factors and prominent themes today include: fluctuating price of oil/fuel, security/terrorism, war, volatile economy and demand, bricks & mortar vs. online channels, lean, capacity utilization, sustainability and Green initiatives, carbon footprinting, outsourcing, off-shoring, mergers & acquisitions, and many more. With so much volatility and uncertainty in the marketplace today, how can we make good operations and supply chain planning decisions?
Troy will highlight current trends in the transportation industry, relate supply chain and operations management themes, and discuss their impacts on companies’ operational strategies and profitability. He will then provide an overview of two methodologies and tools, as well as case study examples, to help companies become more proactive in their decision making process as they seek to mitigate risk and maximize profit while maintaining or improving customer service.
